Canyon Lake
CANYON LAKE
For Rae Warner and her family, Canyon Lake represents a place of terror where they almost lost each other in a near drowning accident when she was twelve years old.
If not for the self-sacrificing strength and courage of a young stranger, she and her younger siblings would have lived their lives as orphans. Before they had a chance to thank the stranger, however, the young man disappears—his identity remaining unknown.
Thirty years later, Rae is spending a warm summer evening walking through some local art galleries in Scottsdale, Arizona, when she sees a painting from a scene at Canyon Lake.
The scene triggers memories she hasn’t thought about for many years. The terror of that day comes rushing back, leaving her with the unanswered question: Who was that young man?
She buys the painting and begins searching for the artist and any information that may lead to her family’s unknown rescuer. Although her search might be in vain, she has to find out if there is a connection to this painting and her family’s near drowning experience.
Little does she know that what she finds in her search will change her life forever.
